The Commission says the Legislative Assembly has 88 members, one for each district, and the Legislative Council has 40 members, five for each region. It says a person must enrol and vote if they are 18 or older, an Australian citizen, and have lived in Victoria for longer than a month.

It prints writs on Tuesday 3 November, nominations opening Wednesday 4 November and closing Monday 9 November, early voting from Wednesday 18 November, and writs returned by Saturday 19 December.
