Elections

The UK Parliament results page titles one count “Results for the UK general election on 4 July 2024”. The data.gov.uk summary of the July 2024 names-and-codes file says those constituencies are operative 4 July 2024, and that page prints Licence: Not set. The Electoral Commission schedule lists the UK Parliament at no later than 15 August 2029. Section 4 of the Dissolution and Calling of Parliament Act 2022 says that if it has not been dissolved earlier, a Parliament dissolves at the beginning of the day that is the fifth anniversary of the day on which it first met.

Gap. The day the current Parliament first met is not printed in section 4 or in that Electoral Commission table. Candidate lists are not published on this page.

The UK Parliament list of by-elections in the 59th Parliament includes “13 August 2026 - Clacton”. The Members API records the current membership status as starting on 8 July 2026. This page does not explain the difference, and it does not state a cause or reprint votes.
